Parliament House

More of a motel than hotel or resort, Parliament House is the largest gay accommodation in Orlando.

I just got back from a stop over for a couple of days.

The stay was fine. They are starting to make some room upgrades - but as long as you expect a motel, you won't be disappointed.  In house WiFi system (extra charge) and good cable TV.  Two onsite bars, disco and shops mean you can just kick back and relax (if you're not cruising 24/7). Not much else in the area if you don't have a car - Wendy's and mini-mart a couple of blocks in one direction and Popeye's and Army/Nave Store to the other.  The onsite restaurant was great for breakfast and has daily specials. 

Only problem here is if you don't rent a car. The taxi from the airport can be $40 each way. Best solution for this is to use the Airport Shuttle service.  When you arrive at the airport, just go to level one and look for the Hertz and Avis rental counters.  The shuttle should be next to this.  No reservations required.  Cost is $16 per person, less if you pre-purchase your round trip.  Make sure to reserve your return pick-up time a day before you return. I used the service and they were great.
