Rio de Janeiro Brazil

When went to Rio de Janeiro for New Years - we found Ipacom Travel's website www.ipanema.com that had all the information we needed to plan our trip to Brazil. 

The travel agency has a small office in Ipanema, a couple of blocks from the beach - but we handled everything through email.  It took a while to coordinate everything - but we got a very well-located hotel at a good price.  Everything went smoothly, with documents, guarantees, receipts, etc. scanned and sent back and forth online.

Once we got to Rio, we stopped by the office and booked a few excursions to do some sightseeing in Rio - but don't bother with this, Taxis are cheap and easy to find in Rio, and we found that the Taxi drivers gave a better tour than the big bus tours and at a far better price!

We did use Ipacom to arrange an add-on tour to Iguaçu Falls on the border of Brazil. Paraguay and Argentina.  The price was very good and the 3-day tour was excellent from the time we were met at the airport, through the tours of the falls and our return to Sao Paulo.
